Holly Lodge

We had a wonderful time in the the Holly Lodge school room. There was a pictorial display taking us from Queen Victoria to our present queen bringing a flood of memories also prompted by a few seemingly random objects from the last century, a sieve, a trifle mold, a stone hot water bottle; it’s amazing how a few simple objects and pictures can evoke a common memory and bring people so much closer. We then discussed the language of fans - some quite flirtatious signals were revealed! It was all hugely enjoyable and nicely rounded off with tea and biscuits.
